Keto Ground Beef Recipes - Mad Creations Hub

Ground beef, also known as minced beef or minced meat, is one of my favourite ingredients. It’s cheap, easy and incredibly versatile. Whether you buy it from the butcher or supermarket, or make it yourself, it’s a simple, high-protein ingredient that can be used in many recipes.

What is the best ground beef to use?

For ketogenic ground beef recipes, I choose lean or extra lean ground beef. This way, I get my protein without the extra fat and I can control my macros. If you like a higher fat combination, feel free to go for it. A higher fat combination is great for adding flavor and tenderness, which is great when making homemade sausages or chevup, for example.

Beef mince or ground beef, also known as minced beef or hamburger meat, is commonly available at most butchers and supermarkets. While some products may contain fillers, the majority of beef mince is just meat with no additives, and is gluten-free and keto-friendly.

Preparing and Storing Ground Beef

Preparing ground beef for recipes is easy: fry in a skillet over medium heat until cooked through, breaking it up with a spatula as you cook. Trim off excess fat to reduce fat content. It can be used in a variety of cooking methods, including slow cooker, pressure cooker (like this recipe for an Instant Pot), pan, grill, baked, and Thermomix. Ground beef is one of my most used ingredients.

To store, cooked ground beef can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days, or frozen for longer storage.
