Give in to questionable raspberry trifles. There are many shortcuts in life that backfire. Things like snoozing, “reply all” and trusting gas station sushi. But sometimes? Shortcuts are your best option. It’s like skipping the sponge cake and custard entirely and reaching for Quest Bake Shop’s chocolate frosted donuts instead. Add raspberries and cream, and suddenly you’re on your way to entering the protein dessert hall of fame.

method
Break up the donuts into small pieces by hand and place them in a bowl. Let’s set it aside. In a separate bowl, mash the raspberries with the lemon juice, water, and 1/2 teaspoon liquid sweetener and set aside. Using a hand mixer, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Stir in remaining 1/2 teaspoon sweetener. Take two mini trifle glasses and assemble the trifle by adding layers of donuts, raspberries, and whipped cream. Serve and enjoy.
