Low carb diet for weight loss

Low carb sweetener options

To enhance the chocolate with this recipe, I chose liquid monk fruit with a chocolate flavor. One teaspoon equals ½ cup of regular sugar, which is sweet.

My conversion chart does not list artificial sugar alcohol sweeteners like maltitol and sorbitol, as artificial sweeteners cause major indigestion in many people.

I’ve eaten too many restaurants. If you bought some sugar-free sweet treats like Russell Stober and ran around in the bathroom, you know exactly what I’m talking about. I’ve used all natural sugar-free sweeteners since 2008 because I don’t want to experience it again.

My best advice on changing sweeteners in my recipe is to taste a little and adjust it as you can always add it if you want, but you can’t.

Instructions

Microwave Instructions

Whisk the coconut flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder together.

In another bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, stevia and natural food coloring.

Add the dry ingredients to wet and stir until combined.

Adjust the food coloring to the redness you want.

Spray two 1 cup glametine or microwave safe mugs on avocado oil cooking spray.

Pour batter evenly onto each dish.

Insert a sugar-free chocolate chip in the center of each batter.

Microwave one cake at a time. Cooking times may vary depending on the microwave. I applied the microwave for about 1 minute, about 1 minute and 30 seconds. If the top of the cake appears to be wet, continue microwave at 30-second intervals until touching the top causes the cake to bounce off.

Enjoy warmth from the plate!

Oven instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F and force the fan.

Pour the batter onto two oiled ramekins and bake for 10-15 minutes until the top is set, but still swaying. (Baking time depends on the size and shape of the ramekin.)

Sit aside from the oven for 5 minutes.

Serve with sugar-free whipped cream and berries, or low-carb ice cream, or this sugar-free cream cheese frosting.

Storage: These lava cakes should be eaten immediately and should not be kept sufficient. It can be refrigerated, but loosen the secret chocolate centre.
