What helped my kids eat loudly?

I haven’t made a backup meal

I’m a lively eater who received a backup meal most nights of the week (to this day I love the big bowl of buttered noodles). But I decided early on to avoid this with my kids.

So I cooked one dinner every night. “Scrounge Nite”, a clean fridge, choosing your own adventure situation.

Does this mean that our kids had eaten many meals that they already liked? of course. Spaghetti, tacos, burgers and grilled chicken were all equipped.

However, I continued to serve my husband’s meals. I liked the kids really wasn’t like that at first, like enchiladas and bowls of tofu. And most of the time they came. Those meals may not have been their favorite, but they did. And that was important to me.

Demolating mixed meals can also help to make this strategy smoother. That way, there’s something your child likes and eats – rice, tortillas, favorite vegetables, etc.
