Vivrelle Review: Is it worth it? (My Honest Thoughts + How It Works)

I’ll share my full review of Vivrelle and whether I think it’s worth it. If you want to try it out, use my referral code L66PH1ZH70.

Hi hi! how are you? I think I’m having a nice morning so far! I got a call this morning and then I’m going to the pool for the rest of the day. I also have to stop by UPS to return my latest Vivrelle bag. This is my favorite thing I’ve rented so far!

In today’s post, I wanted to share my latest review of Vivrelle as I’ve been using their service for the past 6 months or so (and loving it).

If you’re looking to try out a variety of designer bags and jewelry without the designer price tag, you’ve probably heard of Vivrelle.

It’s been around for a long time, but it seems like its popularity has skyrocketed recently. Today I thought I’d talk about prices, the brands they carry, and whether or not they’re actually worth it.

TLDR version: I love it, but it may not be for everyone. Let’s break it all down.

Vivrelle Review: Is it worth it? (My Honest Thoughts + How It Works)

What is Vivrel?

Vivrelle is a luxury accessories membership that gives you access to a shared closet of designer handbags, jewelry, watches, and more for a monthly fee.

Instead of buying a $2,500 bag, you can rent it, wear it as often as you like, and then trade it in for a new one.

It’s a lot like Rent the Runway, but for designer bags and jewelry. (Full review of Rent the Runway Unlimited can be found here!)

How does Vivrel work?

This process is actually quite simple.

Apply for membership (approval process is quick, we promise it won’t take long)

Please select your membership level

Browse the collection and select items

Item will be shipped to your door (shipping and returns included)

Keep it as long as you need and then replace it with a new one

There are no strict return deadlines. If you like the product, you can keep it for more than a month.

If there is a product you like, you can purchase it at a member discount price, which is a great benefit.

Vivrel membership fee

Vivrelle has multiple price points depending on the luxury you want to access.

Typical prices are as follows:

Premier: approximately $45-49 per month (jewelry + select bags)

Classic: Approximately $119-$139 per month (bags valued at up to $4,000)

Couture: Approximately $219 to $239 per month (luxury and rare items)

Couture+: Approximately $309 – $339/month (2 items at a time)

Each tier unlocks a different “closet”, and the higher you go, the more exclusive pieces you have.

You should also keep this in mind as there is usually a minimum 3 month contract.

Brands available for purchase on Vivrelle

This is one of the biggest selling points.

Vivrel carries authentic luxury brands. These are not ducks or lookalikes. All items are authenticated by our team or third party experts. Everything I received felt brand new. No signs of wear or use whatsoever.

Some of the brands you commonly see include:

chanel

Louis Vuitton

gucci

prada

saint laurent

dior

Bottega Veneta

You can use this as a way to test drive a bag before deciding to buy, which I think is great. There was a bag I was thinking of buying, but I wasn’t sure how much I would like it for everyday use. This sealed the deal for me. (Yes, it solidifies the fact that I do indeed want Chanel’s tan caviar bag. Pilot, are you reading this?? Are you here?)

My experience using Vivrelle

For me, Vivrelle is one of those things that makes getting dressed more fun. I also think I have a problem. I love new things and things for the first time. This is why Rent the Runway and Vivrelle give me a huge dopamine hit without spending thousands of dollars.

I love that I can swap bags based on:

season

trip

event

feeling

It’s also great if you don’t want to commit to one expensive bag or want to choose from a variety of bags without cluttering your closet.

And to be honest, it’s really fun to carry around a bag that you wouldn’t normally buy just to try it out.

Advantages of Vivrel

The biggest advantage is access.

Being able to wear luxury items without having to pay thousands of dollars upfront makes them feel more approachable.

It is also:

Great way to try before you buy

Perfect for special events and travel

Always updated with new inventory

Free shipping and returns included

Exchange as many items as you like

Many users also love its flexibility and say it instantly elevates their everyday outfits.

Disadvantages of Vivrel

As with anything, there are some drawbacks to consider.

The biggest one is the cost over time. The monthly fee is cheaper than buying the bag outright, but there are additional charges for long-term subscriptions.

Availability can also be an issue. Popular items run out quickly, so you may not be able to get your first desired item right away. (Pro tip: Add all your favorite items to a waiting list so you’ll be notified when they’re back in stock.)

There are a few other things to keep in mind.

There is a membership agreement (typically 3 months)

You do not own the item (unless purchased separately)

Inventory is determined by demand

Is Vivrel worth it?

This really depends on your lifestyle.

Vivrelle is 100% worth it if:

I like designer bags, but I’m not going out of my way to buy them.

I like to change my style often

If the accessory is for an important event, trip, or content creation

I want to test the bag before investing

It may not be worth it if:

Prefer to own and store your own items

I rarely change my bag

I want to keep my monthly expenses to a minimum

Vivrelle is one of those services that feels very “special”…but in the best sense of the word.

It brings luxury closer to you, adds variety to your wardrobe, and makes getting dressed more fun.

For me, it was valuable for the flexibility, experience, and being able to try items I wouldn’t buy otherwise.

If you’re interested, give it a try, especially since you can try it for free for a month. (Please note that there is a minimum 3 month contract.)

Check it out here and use my referral code: L66PH1ZH70

I hope you love it as much as I do!
