For me, Halloween is all about doing something truly amazing with makeup. As an artist, Halloween gives me a moment to be both serious and playful. Of course, if you’re a makeup artist, everyone wants you to do their makeup too. Therefore, if I have time, I have to start working early before others ask me for help. My advice is to pick a reference book that you like and start from there. Last year, it was Madonna for me. It doesn’t have to be scary. Watch your favorite movies and music videos and choose your favorite looks.

Contact lenses can be difficult to wear (and once you’ve put them on, you may want to stop!), but they can make a big difference. Please be patient as it will enhance the Halloween atmosphere. And it’s worth choosing an alternative look that you can always go back to when you’re feeling short on inspiration. For me, it’s vampires. Add some fangs and some fake blood to complete the look and you’re ready to go. I’ve always been a vampire in some way. In fact, all of the looks below can be applied to vampires.

Will you go for modern alien inspiration, an AI robot look, or something more spooky for Halloween this year? Tune in to social to find the most fun and expressive makeup for Halloween 2024 I was looking around for media. Which one would you like to recreate?

2024 Halloween Makeup Tutorial

Victoriana Vampire

Inspired by Val Garland’s 2011 Vivienne Westwood catwalk makeup, this ultra-chic take on a gothic vampire can also be created like Carole Baragana does in her tutorial or by using red instead of black. You can also create one by adding an attention-grabbing twist.

how?

Start with an all-white base and create bold stripes outward from your mouth using a fan-shaped brush and your favorite statement face paint color.

This alien-inspired design can be recreated exactly as created by this artist, or you can play with color and pattern to make your own mark.

how?

Using a thin liner brush and face paint or cream eye color, create your design by drawing a pattern from your inner ear outwards to one side of your face. Add a soft touch with sultry smokey eye makeup with a metallic finish, or enhance the look with spooky contacts.
