Easy buffalo salmon bites in the air fryer

Easy buffalo salmon bites in the air fryer

These Air Fryer Buffalo Salmon Bites are one of the easiest ways to spice up your salmon. Cut the salmon into cubes, toss with a little seasoning and buffalo sauce, and cook in the air fryer in about 10 minutes. They’re bold, flavorful, and incredibly versatile. Serve it on a salad, tuck it into a taco, or serve it in a simple bowl with rice and vegetables for an easy dinner.

I often make salmon recipes and buffalo recipes, so this combination came naturally in our house. If you want everyone to get excited about eating salmon, coating it with flavors they already love will do the trick. This buffalo salmon sashimi has become a staple, especially in the summer when you don’t want to turn on the oven or stand on the stove. Cutting salmon into cubes allows it to cook quickly in the air fryer, making it one of the easiest dinners you can make on a busy night.

The air fryer is filled with buffalo salmon sashimi and a bottle of buffalo sauce sits next to it.

If you like bold buffalo flavors, you might also enjoy some of my other easy recipes like Buffalo Chicken Bites, Buffalo Chicken Tacos, Buffalo Tuna Salad, and Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower. These all come together quickly and make weeknight dinners feel a little more exciting without adding any extra work.

ingredient spotlight

This is not a complete list of ingredients, but it briefly spotlights some important ingredients. A complete list of ingredients is provided in the recipe card below.

Skinless Salmon – I prefer to use salmon with the skin removed for this recipe. This will make it easier to dice and coat the salmon evenly with the buffalo sauce. Buffalo Sauce – Pre-made buffalo sauce makes this recipe quick and easy. This is something I almost always have on hand and adds bold flavor without any extra effort. Don’t have anything on hand? Make homemade buffalo sauce.

You can also bake this instead of air frying. If you don’t want to use an air fryer, bake the salmon sashimi in a 425°F oven for about 9 to 10 minutes. Use a bowl to toss the sauce – Transfer the cooked salmon to a bowl before adding the buffalo sauce to coat it evenly and avoid wasting sauce. If your salmon has skin – it’s easier to cook the whole fillet, flake the salmon, and toss it with buffalo sauce after cooking.

Cut the salmon into bite-sized pieces. Add the salmon to the bowl with the olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Add 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and stir well.

1.25 pounds of salmon, 1/2 tablespoon olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, Garlic powder 1/2 teaspoon

Cook the salmon in the air fryer at 400°F for 6 minutes (or you can also bake it in the oven at 425°F for 9-10 minutes)

Once the salmon is cooked, pour the buffalo sauce over it.

1/4 cup buffalo sauce

First, fry the salmon in a little oil. Brushing the salmon with a little olive oil helps coat the seasonings and prevents the salmon from sticking to the air fryer basket. Add buffalo sauce after cooking. The salmon is first cooked and then tossed with buffalo sauce. This will prevent the salmon from burning and will give you the best texture. If possible, use salmon without the skin. Skinless salmon is recommended, as small salmon can be difficult to peel after cooking.

We use these in different ways.

My favorite is drizzled with ranch dressing and added to a large salad.

It’s also great in tacos with a quick coleslaw or in a simple bowl with vegetables for an easy dinner.
