Big Day for Meryl Streep fans (also known as literally everyone on Earth). Not only did the murderers in the building announce the premiere date of season 5 (on September 9th, if you were wondering, like me), the award-winning actor finally filmed a scene from New York City’s Devil Wear Prada 2. And yes, infamous poor editorial boss Miranda Priestley is stuck with her signature style almost 20 years later, including her iconic hairstyle.
After years of spiritual fanfiction and sequel rumours, the film’s lovers, which focused on 2006 fashion, were recently delighted with the official announcement of the next chapter of the Devil Wear Prada. And, if you take a peek into the look of Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs, expectations are built, whether the paparazzi discover or Hathaway herself shares it on social media. But as much as I look forward to the inevitable influx of ambitious styles of inspo, I am most excited to see Streep return to the role of Miranda’s priesthood, and the new photos snapped on the sidewalk are not disappointing.
Streep was discovered in New York on Wednesday, July 23rd and decorated as Miranda, but you wouldn’t believe it. A bright purple blouse was tucked into a leather pencil skirt that fitted her platform pump. And there, there was hair, covering it all.
