Have a happy Holly Holidays

One last post before Christmas break. Have a happy holiday!

Today is the last day of new blog posts until 2025. While my kids are out of school for the holidays, I will be taking a break from blogging to be with my family. you can Follow us on Instagram To check our holidays in real time!

We’ll be staying in Charlottesville for Christmas, but in the new year we’ll be going on our first Disney cruise (and the kids’ first cruise too!). We are going with my sister’s family and my parents and we are all really looking forward to it.

See you in January for our annual Word Of The Year post. Please start thinking too! After a chaotic holiday season (birthday starts in October…), I welcome a peaceful and calm January. I wish it was warm outside.

A present appears from under the tree!

Santa brings most of them on Christmas morning.

Christmas season activities

holiday party

Last weekend we went to the pool club’s annual holiday party where we did lots of Christmassy crafts and got to meet Santa himself.

Birch looks like me when I was younger. He keeps his distance.

christmas books and puzzles

I also pulled all the Christmas books and puzzles out of storage. We also have an elf, but it’s not very flashy. She tends to move positions at night.

This book is perfect for dog lovers!

Illuminations around town

The downtown mall illumination was very lively with the lighting of the large tree next to the pavilion and performances. It was so cold that night that I had to warm myself up with a decaf mocha after dinner.

In case you haven’t tried it yet, Madhouse Winterfall is my new favorite coffee drink. It’s not too sweet and has a slight peppermint scent. Honestly, I don’t know what’s in it, but it’s really delicious!

ACAC & Friends Holiday Party

I helped plan a holiday party for many of the people I take ACAC classes with. At Random Raw Brewery, there was a white elephant gift exchange and fun and bright costumes.

New sofa pillow!

I’ve been wanting to upgrade my couch pillows for a while, but my kids still like to jump on them, so I didn’t want to spend too much money. I found and purchased these at Target that perfectly match our Lindsey Letters paintings. It’s really nice and adds some color to our sofa.

I was about to give up on the sofa because it always gets dirty.
