Last week I planted a new section of sugar cane.
But that wasn’t enough space, so more needs to be done. About twice as much as before!
We don’t have a tractor that can easily make mounds, so we don’t have a good way to plant sugarcane yet. Instead, we’re using Bobcat to do it. It’s much faster than digging by hand, but it’s not much better than a retractable plow.
One of the reasons we need to plant more sugarcane is because we have:
This is a vintage cane mill patented in 1877. The bearings have been replaced and are in good condition. All that’s left to do is set it up! And we need a lot more sugar cane to get through there, so we need to plant more sugar cane this fall.
My friend James showed up to our friend giving party with the mill in the back of his truck. What a complete surprise!
Now that you have purchased it, you can launch Good Sugar Works.
Frost is coming soon, so we need to plant sugar cane before then. It’s now or never.
Good luck – it’s Bobcat time.
