Mind and body stress reduction series

8-Week In-Person Mindfulness Series for Living and Working in Silicon Valley

In Silicon Valley, stress rarely comes from one place.
With a full calendar, constant pressure to solve problems, and constant pressure to stay relevant, work continues even when you get home. When you add in family responsibilities, caregiving, relationships, and the general state of the world, your body and mind tend to remain in a low state of tension.

Our Mind and Body Stress Reduction Workshop is an 8-week in-person mindfulness series designed for people who continue to lead demanding work lives while living fulfilling lives outside of work. The event will be held at Healing Place in San Jose from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday nights starting January 5th.

This is not a productivity program or performance upgrade. This is a space to slow down, reset your nervous system, and reconnect with yourself.

A safe space to explore what you need

Many of the people who come to this series spend their days supporting teams, leading projects, solving complex problems, and making decisions that affect others. There are very few places where it doesn’t need to be “on”.

This workshop provides a protected pause.
Set aside a certain amount of time each week where you can put work aside, be yourself, and focus on your own health. There are no fixed values. Not optimized. A space to breathe, notice, and reconnect.

Change the focus of stress to self-care

Workplace stress extends beyond the workplace. It manifests itself in stiff shoulders during meetings, shallow breathing while answering emails, restless sleep, and a nervous system that is rarely completely calm.

Over the course of eight weeks, we work with both your mind and body, supporting you to:

Pay attention to how your stress patterns manifest during your workday Interrupt automatic responses before they take over Regulate your nervous system in real-world situations Recover faster after an intense day or conversation Develop simple self-care habits that fit into your busy life

These are practical tools designed for people living in the real world, not just on retreats. Portable, applicable, and rewarding.

Series contents

Each weekly session will be a blend of:

Short, practical instruction grounded in mindfulness and emotional intelligence Gentle movement and somatic awareness to release built-up tension Guided meditations that are accessible even when your mind feels busy Reflection to help you connect your practice to work and daily life A small, respectful group environment that emphasizes confidentiality and care

This is an in-person experience because immersion is key. Slowing down together allows your nervous system to regulate more effectively.

Who is this series aimed at?

This is required if:

Working in a fast-paced or high-responsibility environment Competent but feeling exhausted Intelligent, looking for grounded, human self-care Feeling okay about taking time for yourself

No prior mindfulness or meditation experience is required. All you need is curiosity and motivation.

Participants’ comments

In our workshops, participants report:

You will feel more grounded during stressful moments. You will have greater clarity and perseverance at work. You will be less responsive in meetings and conversations. You will have a greater ability to recover after tough days. You will have a deeper sense of stability and self-confidence.

These changes tend to be subtle and persistent. They show up in how you listen, how you pause, and how you care for yourself under pressure.
