Proving once again that drugstore makeup is just as worthy of praise on the red carpet as prestige makeup. Now, that proof comes courtesy of Ilona Maher, who wore a full face of Maybelline at the 2026 ESPYS on Wednesday, July 15th. The finished look earned multiple selfies beyond the usual step-and-repeat shots.

Maher’s makeup was done by celebrity makeup artist Kendall Fedele. “The goal for Ilona’s glamorous ESPY Awards pieces was to create something soft, light, and airy, yet sophisticated and red carpet-ready,” she said, adding that “the eyes were the focus of the look.”

“I created a soft halo eye and dabbed Shadow Drip Eye Tint ($9) in Silver Drip into the center of the eyelid to add a soft glow that catches the light beautifully,” she continued. “To make the eyes stand out without weighing them down too much, I lined my upper lash line with Espresso-infused Unstoppable Eyeliner ($8) close to my lashes and finished with a few coats of Lash Sensational Sky Tube Mascara ($14) for soft, fluffy lashes.

For the lips, I lined them with Out of Line’s Lifter Liner ($10), applied Caramel Glow’s Lifter Glaze ($9), and topped it all off with Mantini’s Lifter Gel ($10) to create a glossy nude lip. ”
